I am a Jesus pusher!!! One of the great sermons of the Bible is Peter’s explanation of Pentecost (Acts 2:14-36). His final statement is, “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ,” (Acts 2:36). The Father sourced Jesus to produce an entirely new Kingdom, the Kingdom of God. It is within you; therefore, it is the same sourcing Jesus knew. He can now reign in our lives. This is not an attempt to convert you to a “belief system.” We are not proposing an adjustment in your life style. No one wants to manipulate you by stirring your emotions so you will enlist. Paul cried, “I want to be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death (Philippians 3:9, 10). I can actually know Him. Every aspect of who He is can be experienced. I can know Him as Lord; I can experience Him as Christ. I can be intimate with His person.
There is no other place to go. He alone provides the sourcing which is adequate for my life’s situations. Every situation has been created by inadequate sourcing; I have lived out of myself. My track record reveals my failures; it demands a new source. Jesus is the provision of God, the Father, for me. He has been found abundantly adequate in every situation. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
