I am a Jesus pusher!!! I fear writing about Him lest all you see are facts, data, or information. I fear speaking about Him lest you only grasp ideas, concepts, or doctrine. How can I get you to embrace Jesus, the person? If I paint a picture of Him you may make it an idol. If I explain what He has done for you, you may simply honor His deeds. If I explain His crucifixion in your behalf, you may simply place a gold plated cross around your neck to celebrate. If I attempt to explain His thoughts for you, you may only comprehend theology. How can I introduce Him to you? How can I place you into His presence?
I am a Jesus pusher!!! I am afraid to preach about Him for fear you think it is my job, a career. Do I dare teach a Sunday school class? Will you think I am only fulfilling a role or working for the church? If I give my money to promote the spread of His name will you think I have simply given to get? How can I take your hand and place it in His? How can I get you face to face with Him?
I think I have found the answer! I am a Jesus pusher!!! I am going to love Him, get so tight with Him, and be so one with Him you will sense Him in my life. I am going to allow my life to be so filled with His presence you will be shaking hands with Him when you take my hand. I am going to expose you to Him because He is in me. I am going to allow my eyes to be His, my attitude to be His, my reactions to be His. You are going to meet Him through me. He is going to envelope you because I am going to envelope you.
