I am a Jesus pusher!!! Luke lists four conditions of the early church (Acts 2:42). They are not just activities but each is a “state of being.” One of these is “in the breaking of bread.” This refers to having a meal together including “communion at the Lord’s table.” Eating a meal together in light of Jesus’ cross determines my relationship with you. It must involve PROVISION. I must meet your needs in the same manner He has met my needs. Paul wrote, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:9-10). Such thoughts nearly take one’s breath away. The description of the provision is found in the words every and complete. In fact, He is the provision. There is absolutely nothing I need outside of Him. I must meet your needs in the same manner He has met my needs. I am an extension of His presence in your life. I am the visible image of His invisible presence. He wants to flow through me that He might meet the needs of your life. I must abide in your presence with the same attitude He has because He is my attitude. I must view you in the same manner in which He views. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
