I am a Jesus pusher!!! The early church experienced the breaking of bread together (Acts 2:42). There is strong evidence this experience included “The Lord’s Supper,” remembering Jesus’ cross. Eating together in the midst of the cross also involves PROSCRIPTION. This is the act of proscribing; it means to denounce or condemn. I must judge you as He has judged me at the cross. He assumed all my judgment within Himself that I might experience all His righteousness. My judgment was exchanged for His righteousness. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). He knowing the depth of all that I deserve embraced it in its completion. Without hesitation, condemnation, or conditions He joined me in my need that I might embrace His solution.
How quick am I to condemn you? It is as if I just wait to find something in your life to judge. Jesus said, “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you (Matthew 7:1-2). If His Spirit sources me, how He sees you is how I see you. There is no judgment. I embrace Him and you. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
