I am a Jesus pusher!!! What God desires for me to know is found in Jesus. Jesus said, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing, but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you,” (John 15:15). He spoke this in the context of His coming to indwell us through the Spirit. Such intimate communication is taking place. It is far beyond words, gestures, or instructions. It is not on the academic level; it is not a result of education. It is Him. In being intimate with His person, He is able to communicate what cannot otherwise be revealed. I am discovering the heart of God.
I am a Jesus pusher!!! If Jesus is the message, not simply the messenger, then truth cannot be discovered outside of Him. Three times at the beginning of his epistle John relates we have heard (1 John 1:1, 3, 5). Is it simply sound waves coming from the lips of the physical Christ to the ears of John? The Greek word means “to hear,” but more specifically means “to come to know.” It goes far beyond the idea of physically hearing sounds to knowing and even obeying what is being revealed. Jesus ended many of the parables of the Kingdom with this statement: “He who has ears to hear, let him hear,” (Matthew 13:9, 43).
I am a Jesus pusher for in intimacy with Him I am embraced by truth and am enabled to respond. He is the key element which makes everything else make sense. He is the glue which holds all the facts together. In the midst of chaotic situations, I find light, calmness in Him. He is proper perspective, ability to see things as they are, and truth instead of lies. There is great danger in life without His eyesight. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
