I am a Jesus pusher!!! Whatever the call of Jesus upon your life, it will result in “evangelism.” This was true with Isaiah in the Old Testament. He was the right hand man of King Uzziah; but the king was dead. Everything he counted on and built toward was now gone. In a state of dismay Isaiah came to the temple. The vision of God in His holiness was disarming. Isaiah saw himself and cried out, “Woe is me, for I am undone. Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips, For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts” (Isaiah 6:5). Isaiah’s focus was changed forever. Once God cleansed him, the call came loud and clear, “Whom shall I send. “And who will go for Us?” (Isaiah 6:8). How could Isaiah not go, having seen God and himself?
The disciples were praying to the Lord of the harvest to send labors. Their prayers are answered. Jesus is sending them. He immediately empowers them. They are raised from disciples to apostles (Matthew 10:1, 2). They become “sent ones!” Jesus takes the power contained within Him and transfers it to His disciples. Everything they need to accomplish the task is now theirs. Jesus does not look for men with talent, education, or aggressive personalities. He wants men who will be totally His and live by faith. He desires men who will invoke His activity in their behalf. The call of God is upon us. How will we respond? I am a Jesus pusher!!!
