I am a Jesus pusher!!! If there is any doubt about this focus of ministry? Listen to His words in the Great Commission. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). While this truth echoes within our minds, let it be stated that Jesus never focused on multitudes. He always focused on individuals. But individuals became innumerable. His concern and passion was for people. He must win all people, one at a time. It was not great numbers that mattered, but the individuals contained within those numbers. No one could be left out.
Age had captured Commissioner Samuel Logan Brengle, the leader of the Salvation Army. He was expected to address the great assembly of the Salvation Army. It would no doubt be his final words to them. But to their great disappointment, he became too weak attend. A telegram was sent in his place. With trembling hands the telegram was opened before this large expectant body. The last message they would hear from their beloved leader was read. His message to them was “Others! Others! Others!” This is the mind of Christ. If I would know His heart, it is a heart for others. You cannot embrace Jesus without embracing others. You cannot minister in Jesus without ministering to everyone. His heart changes my narrow, opinionated, and prejudiced thinking. I will be a platform for His life to touch others. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
