I am a Jesus pusher!!! The healing miracles of Jesus must have numbered in the thousands (Matthew 4:23-25). These miracles VALIDATE HIS PLAN (who we are). Demonstrated in the healing miracles is the power of God fulfilling His plan to restore mankind from his fallen state. Revealed in this restoration is the revelation of the substance of who we are in God’s mind and heart.
Jesus had numerous controversies with the Pharisees over healing on the Sabbath day. The Pharisees saw healing on the Sabbath as a medical procedure, which could wait for another day. On the Sabbath day Jesus healed a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day” (Luke 13:14). Jesus saw healing as a manifestation of the Kingdom of God struggling against the Kingdom of darkness. Jesus answered Him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound – think of it – for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” (Luke 13:15, 16). Perhaps we misunderstand healing! It is not simply a physical correction but a complete spiritual change for life. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
