I am a Jesus pusher!!! Jesus never divides my spiritual from my physical! In other words, what happens in my physical activities is a direct response to my spiritual life; my spiritual life responds to my physical activities. We are a whole being designed to be controlled of Jesus.
Paul expressed this from his own experience, “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure” (2 Corinthians 12:7). Evidently Paul had an infirmity in the flesh, which affected his spiritual condition. After desperately praying three times for its removal, he was reminded that the strength of Jesus is experienced in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Paul proclaimed that he would rather embrace and experience the infirmity and have the power of Christ, than to be without the infirmity and lack Jesus.
The call to intimacy with Jesus is to allow His Lordship to reign both in body and spirit, the whole man. If this means healing of physical infirmity, the Lord will be praised. If this means experiencing physical infirmity, the Lord will be praised. Either way Jesus is fulfilling the purpose and plan for my life. I am a committed Jesus pusher!!!
