I am a Jesus pusher!!! Let it be clearly said: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” (not COLLECT it). You cannot earn the earth (the Kingdom of God). The idea of inherit bespeaks relationship. The reason you inherit is because you are related. As Paul speaks of “inheritance,” he equally speaks of “sons.” He writes, “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). God (the Trinity) made a promise to Abraham and his Seed. It was not plural (seeds) but singular (Seed). It was not dependent on the accomplishment (doing) of the Law, for the promise was given four hundred and thirty years before the Law (Galatians 3:17). The Law was simply a tutor and kept us under guard until Jesus came (Galatians 3:23 and 25). Now Jesus has received the promise. Since we belong to Him, we are Abraham’s seed. We are heirs to the promise; the inheritance is ours! This is all based on our relationship with Jesus.
Jesus is at the core of everything spiritual and physical in our lives. He cannot be isolated to a single function of life. The secret is not in our “doing” but in our “embracing.” Intimacy with Jesus is the single factor for both the physical and spiritual realms of my life. No wonder I am a Jesus pusher!!!
