Jesus Pusher 393

I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled,” (Matthew 5:6). The verbs “hunger and thirst” are focused on “righteousness.” We desire the complete “righteousness” of Jesus! We cannot grasp or explain this actual statement. There is no way to measure or properly describe its content either in quality or quantity. Picture a table spread with meat, vegetables, salads, cakes, pies, fruit, etc. Imagine the table being as wide and as long as you can see. This is all placed into the relationship of embracing the heart of Jesus. The finite has fallen in love with the infinite. We hunger for His being, to know Him in His depth, and to embrace the fullness of His mind. While our capacity is constantly being enlarged, it never seems to be adequate. Thus, we are always in a state of “hunger and thirst!” This constantly drives us to embrace Him. We are not dissatisfied, yet we are never completely satisfied. Oh, the wonder of the relationship with Jesus, how startling it is.

This will be proven true in eternity. The “forever” state of heaven will be one of discovering the nature of Jesus. At every point within that eternity, we will be “hungering and thirsting” for Him. This bespeaks the depth of who He is. We are continually filled and yet continually hungry. What a Jesus! I am a Jesus pusher!!!
