Jesus Pusher 44

I am a Jesus pusher!!! Temptations have been varied in my life. Each age had its additional temptations. I have often read how He was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). I always believed it because it was in the Bible. Yet, I have not been able to comprehend how this could be. Has He had every temptation just as I have had them? I have made a discovery of a life time. There is only one motive, center point, or heart of every temptation. This means all temptations have the same purpose and attempt the same thing. To experience one temptation is to experience them all; they are all alike. Jesus set aside all He had as God (Son of God) and became a total man (Son of Man). He was filled with the Spirit of God. He was constantly sourced by the Father. From this Pentecost experience, He was immediately led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil (Matthew 4:1). Every aspect in every circumstance of the temptation was about sourcing. The devil knew exactly who He was. He said, “If (Since) you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread,” (Matthew 4:3). This temptation was not about bread. It was about taking back His Divine powers. Since He is God, why should He not live from the powers that God has? He gave them up to become the Son of Man, but why should He not take them back? Why should He live a life of dependency on God when He Himself is God? The temptation was “source Yourself!”

This is the focus of every temptation you and I face. Don’t rely on Him. Don’t allow Him to source your life. Take charge of your own life. Do your own thing. You have your rights. Do it your own way; stand up for yourself. Have you discovered this attitude in your own heart? This attitude always produces death. I must know nothing but Him sourcing my life. He alone can bring me to this life; He alone can keep me in this life. I must have Him and Him alone! I am a Jesus pusher!!!
