I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). All laws, ceremonies, and requirements of religion are integrated in one focus. This focus is to see God. If this is true, can a state of being pure in heart be isolated from the ability to see God? Is one more important than the other? Does purity of heart cause me to see God? Perhaps it is the opposite. If I ever see God, I will be pure in heart. Any attempt to isolate one from the other will end up in the destruction of both.
This reality is found in the nature of God Himself! If you give attention to the attribute of God (what He has), you will be impressed with God’s ability. In comparison to your ability, you will shrink in fright. But as it is with all beings, “what He has” is brought under the control of “who He is.” His omnipotence is always under the control of His nature. If His nature is safe, then we view His heart. What He does or has done is only viewed for the sake of seeing His heart. Once we see His heart, how do we describe it? He is pure in heart.
But pure in heart is the description of those who are receiving congratulations! Could it be that His heart and my heart have become one? In fact, what He is inside is what I am inside, because He has come inside of me. This is the message of the Beatitudes. No wonder I am a Jesus pusher!!!
