I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). When God speaks, He creates. God spoke the worlds into existence as recorded in the Book of Genesis. Jesus is the Word of God; therefore, all creation came through Him. Congratulations, God is speaking about you. He calls you a “son of God.” The evidence of the creative power of this speaking is found in the congratulations. He will not refer to you as fortunate if it is not true. But once again, God speaks through Jesus. Jesus is the creative Word of God. We are sons of God because of Him. Everything He wants us to be He placed in Jesus. Jesus does not extend it to us; we have it because of Him.
Let us never misunderstand the reality of this truth. Jesus is our prototype. Everything He is, we are to be. If it is not in Jesus, we do not want or need it. We are totally focused on Him. “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:16-17). We are His brothers (Hebrews 2:11). What Jesus receives from the Father, we receive; what Jesus is, we are to be! We are called sons of God. The life of God that sourced the life of Jesus is now sourcing us. We come from the same life source. Therefore we are brothers with Him. This is another description of the merger we experience with God. Our helplessness merged with His nature produces a “son of God.” It is all because of Jesus. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
