I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). The manifestation of peace is contained in the Kingdom of God. In our helplessness, we are embraced by the unlimited resource of His nature. In this unity the Kingdom of God is formed. The Kingdom is not a place, a location. It is the manifestation of the new creature formed by God and man. This manifestation is one of peace. We receive this peace as we are diffused with His presence. The peace-receivers become transformed into peace-diffusers. The nature of God is reflected in them. The family likeness becomes manifested; we are the sons of God.
This is not a strain or a discipline. We are not trained or taught. This does not come from education or talent. It is a declaration of His nature. It does not take energy; it is not exhausting. It is not a burden, duty, or obligation. It is spontaneous and expressed without awareness. It is not found in striving, trying, or controlling. It is in the category of not being able to help ourselves. It is His nature of peace. We are sons of God.
Think of the honor and the dignity of such a designation! We share in the activity of the Divine Persons. We are co-workers in the embrace of His unlimited resources, the Kingdom of God. Fenelon, the great saint, was reported to have such communion with God his very face shone. Lord Peterborough, a skeptic, through circumstances had to spend the night with him at an inn. In the morning he rushed away saying, “If I stay another night with that man I shall be a Christian in spite of myself.” This is the presence of Jesus in us! I am a Jesus pusher!!!
