I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake” (Matthew 5:11). All that is valuable to me is in Jesus. He is the pearl of great price (Matthew 13:45-46). I would sell all other pearls to have Him. He is the great treasure hidden in a field (Matthew 13:44). I would sell all I have to have this one treasure. His heart and mind are mine in the embrace of the Kingdom. I desire only what He desires. I have His viewpoint. Now He produces the cravings of my life. The framework of victory in my life is Jesus. He is my victory. Any separation from His mind and heart is defeat. All that lessens His embrace in my life is labeled destruction. Persecution is seen from this relationship. It is not defeat; it is victory. I do not hold it in dread and fear; I embrace Him. In persecution, I experience the depth of Jesus’ heart, the cross. The throbbing heart of His being is expressed in suffering. The principle capturing His mind, shared with my thinking, plays out in action. I do not run from Jesus; I embrace Him. All experienced persecution having value is for His sake. I want to be an extension of His life but also His redemption. Redemption is only found in suffering. When I embrace persecution as the style of the cross, a redemptive force is released into the life of the persecutor. He cannot be the same. When I resist persecution with complaining and rebellion, I become like the persecutor and do not know Jesus. I belong to Jesus in life, death, and in suffering. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
