Jesus Pusher 549

I am a Jesus pusher!!! Let us begin by discussing THE ASPECT of this Kingdom. An aspect is a particular part or feature of something. The main aspect of the Kingdom of Heaven is “a state of being.” Let us look again at the description of the Kingdom of Heaven as portrayed in the Beatitudes. The Kingdom is not a location to which we travel. You do not earn the right to relocate to this location. This is not a moral system of merits; eventually you will make it to the goal, the Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is established in the link between you and Jesus. You and I are poverty stricken; He is powerful and resourceful. He made me this way. I mourn my state, because, I have desperately attempted to resource myself. I mourn all those attempts and come in simple response to His fullness. The Kingdom is formed in relationship! What a privilege to be His!

All beatitudes become reality in this embrace. We experience meekness because He is “meek and lowly in heart” (Matthew 11:29). Filling and hungering are both discovered in His presence. He gives us mercy and we give mercy to others. Purity of heart and peace are all a part of Jesus. Even persecution is not a result of one’s own doing; it is “for My sake” (Matthew 5:11). In each case, we are congratulated for who we are in Him, not what we do for Him! If we were adequate within ourselves Jesus would not discuss a “state of being” but a “state of doing.” The Kingdom person dwells consistently in a state of dependency and intimacy with Jesus. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
