I am a Jesus pusher!!! If I am one with Jesus I will be tested as He was tested (Matthew 4:1-11). Through the inspiration of the Spirit, James offers clear teaching about this testing. He instructs us to count it all joy when you fall into various trials (James 1:2). The Greek word (peirazo) translated trials is the same Greek word translated tempted relating to Jesus (Matthew 4:1). When we are Spirit-sourced such trials take on the character and nature of the Spirit of Jesus. The ultimate purpose of this testing by the Spirit is that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:4). If we are Spirit-sourced, even when the devil tempts us with the purpose of evil, we do not despair. For James states when we endure we will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him (James 1:12). We are in a “win win” situation. Jesus bends everything to our benefit!
I am a Jesus pusher!!! I can totally trust Him regardless of the appearance of the situation in my life. Every circumstance completes my commitment to Him. Every trial only trims the excess from my relationship with Him. He is getting larger and larger in my eyesight. Every trap of the devil simply works for my benefit. It drives me to Jesus. The more pressure I experience in my circumstances, the more I am pressured to Him. I am convinced repeatedly I must cling to Him. The more the devil tempts, the more I am driven to Jesus. I am being “crowded” to Christ. I simply cannot survive without Him. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
