I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Christianity is the only world religion that is called “a having religion!” It is most amazing! Strong indications and actual statements inform us that we have God, the Light. Listen to this verse, “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son” (2 John 9). The Greek word “echo,” translated as “have” or “has,” is significant. It implies continual possession. It refers to something you have in your possession over which you have charge, control, or power. John also said, “He who has the Son has life: he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:12). We all concur that God has us, but it is excellent to think of having Him!
On the other side, the Scriptures reveal the Devil has us. However, the Scriptures never indicate that we have him. He possesses us; we never possess him. Why is it different with Jesus? It is because He gives Himself to us! We must understand the concept of having Jesus in light of our helplessness. He comes to infiltrate, merge, saturate, soak, permeate, weld, encompass, mix, and fuse Himself with us. What is the right word to use? We become one with Him. We give ourselves to Him, and He gives Himself to us! It is “your light.” It is not yours because you produce or create it, but because Jesus saturates you. You become the shape and expression of the light! We are Jesus pushers!!!
