I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). I want you to see Him as He is. I want to convince you of how great, loving, and essential He is for your life. You must see Him without prejudice and in the light. The Apostle Paul describes the dilemma. “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them” (2 Corinthians 4:3, 4). Paul boldly proclaims that the content of preaching is Jesus the Lord! If this is true, how is ministry ever going to exist? God caused “light” to shine in the person of Jesus; the glory of God was seen in His face. This same treasure is placed in us to shine the same light! “The excellence of the power may be of God and not of us” is the purpose of this shining light!
This motivation controls all of our activities. We are not attempting to improve society; we want everyone to see Jesus. Our passion is not to stop abortion; we want Jesus to be known, eliminating abortion. We do not provide programs to keep teenagers out of trouble; we want them to engage Jesus. We do not entertain great crowds; they must embrace Jesus. Our goal is not to educate children; Jesus must capture them. Everything we do, all of our energy expended, and the one passion that drives us is changing our perspective about Jesus. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
