I am a Jesus pusher!!! Jesus captures my heart; He does something deep inside of me. In knowing Him, worship is spontaneous. I cannot help it. This becomes characteristic of my relationship with Jesus. It is never about rules and regulations; it is about passive and love. The Old Testament prophets looked forward to the day when intimacy with God would be the norm. God expressed it through them as, “I will put My law in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” (Jeremiah 31:33, 34). This is now a reality in my life. I am living in the day of which they dreamed!
This is contrasted with the devil’s desires as seen in the great temptation. The devil promised great gifts to Jesus. “If You will fall down and worship me,” was his appeal (Matthew 4:8). Notice there was to be the physical act followed by the worship. Perhaps the inner worship is not there, but the physical act is enough. Jesus is never satisfied with this in my life. He is not interested in a physical act which may be accompanied with worship; He wants the inner worship which will produce the physical act. No wonder I am a Jesus pusher. He wants my heart. Intimacy which comes from love binds me to Him. My relationship with Him is not about completing ceremonies or activities, but embracing and loving. My life flows from the inside out, from love to worship. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
