I am a Jesus pusher!!! My focus is narrow and limited to Him. Do not consider this strange or a psychological problem. It is not an emotional reaction, something which has to be stimulated again and again. It is reasonable and quite logical. However, it is not a product of my reason, education, or wisdom. It comes from revelation. I have seen Him. Oh not in physical form, but in spiritual reality. This same reality was true between Jesus and His Father. During the great temptation, Jesus was confronted with a call. Satan wanted Him to set aside His relationship with His Father. The devil desired His worship and promised Him the kingdoms of the world (Matthew 4:8, 9). Matthew records His answer, Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan!” (Matthew 4:10).
The Greek word “lego” is translated said. It originally contained the idea of “to lay or let lie down for sleep, to lie together or to collect.” The word evolved into the usage of “to lie before or to relate, recount.” Thus the latter meaning “to say, speak, to utter definite words, connected and significant speech equal to discourse” became its usage. There is another Greek word (laleo) which means to utter sounds. This refers only to words spoken and not to their connected sense. What Jesus has to say to Satan is not an emotional response; it is not an immediate reaction with a light superficial meaning. This is a thought through, restated, a definite conclusion or discourse of Jesus’ position on the matter. This is how focused He was on the Father. As the Spirit of His Father captured Jesus, so the Spirit of Jesus has captured me. I am saying (lego) this to you. It is not an emotional response; it will not change with maturity. It is a definite conclusion or discourse of my position on the matter. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
