I am a Jesus pusher!!! When the Spirit of Jesus indwells a person, that indwelling creates a new creature. This new creature gives constant evidence of righteousness far beyond his helplessness. Every circumstance becomes a platform for the visibility of divine life, the cross style. The Kingdom person cannot be involved in a circumstance without feeling and knowing the cross style. The cross style is God’s nature joining man’s helplessness. What if I decide to live out of my self-sourcing helplessness? The best I can accomplish is, “You shall not murder” (Matthew 5:21). When your performance generates the applause of others for your accomplishment, there is nothing beyond. In the New Covenant, a new level of living is the cross style of bleeding, suffering, and dying for others, the expression of God’s nature.
This way of life is such a core issue. If you live in the cross style, it will not allow any feelings, attitudes, or actions contrary to this bleeding, suffering, and dying style. Because you live in His presence and are sourced by His nature, you will be aware when you have a division with your brother. You cannot tolerate any attitude that creates division. This feeling of division will cause you to act immediately, the action of the cross style. You bleed, suffer, and die for your brother. You must live in reconciliation with him. This reconciliation is not something you do, but it is an expression of the nature of God in which you dwell. Your helplessness, integrated with God’s nature, cannot accept anything less.
