I am a Jesus pusher!!! “Agree with your adversary quickly while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge” (Matthew 5:25). How did your brother become your adversary? The Greek word “antidikos,” translated as adversary, is a combination of two Greek words, “anti,” meaning “against,” and “dike,” meaning “a course or suit of law.” It distinctly focuses on an adversary, enemy, or opponent in a lawsuit. This word is applied to the devil, the great adversary of man and the accuser of the brethren (1 Peter 5:8). There is only one explanation for such a condition! A Kingdom person cannot be an adversary. Being an adversary is contrary to the nature of God, the cross style. If a person embraces their helplessness and is filled with the cross style nature of God, he cannot be an adversary. The embrace of God’s nature compels the helpless person to go to his brother immediately at the slightest sign of division. His heart is desperate for reconciliation because it is the nature of God. An adversary only exists because reconciliation is incomplete.
Does this mean if I have an adversary that I am not a Kingdom person, having God’s nature? NO! NO! The Trinity God is one through the cross style attitude. Bleeding, suffering, and dying are expressions of the nature of the heart. Our God has an adversary. Jesus, the fulfillment of the nature of God in humanity, had adversaries who brought Him to court. He accomplished the warning He spoke to us regarding being brought to court by our adversaries. “Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny” (Matthew 5:26). Jesus paid the last penny attempting to reconcile His adversary. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
