I am a Jesus pusher!!! Jesus presented a distinct progression. A Kingdom person cannot live in anger, demeaning, or belittling (Matthew 5:22). Living in the flow of God’s nature requires reconciliation. We cannot dictate the response of another person. The Greek word for reconciliation is “diallassomai.” It comes from two Greek words, “dia,” meaning “to denote transition,” and “allasso,” meaning “to change.” It refers to “changing one’s feelings toward, to reconcile oneself, or to become reconciled” (Matthew 5:24). The moment we live in the flow of God’s nature, we will live a life of reconciliation. In other words, I will not be angry, demeaning, or belittling. My brother may continue in a state of anger, but I will not. I establish no walls of hatred. When he desires reconciliation with me, he will find I am already reconciled with him.
If my brother will not be reconciled, he will progress from the position of my brother to my adversary. This progression is not my choice, and I do not become an adversary to him. However, he takes the form of an adversary by not reconciling his anger. If this happens, there is a price the reconciled one must pay to the adversary. We would do well to do everything possible to bring about reconciliation. He must know the nature of God and be a Kingdom person. The brother who becomes an adversary lives in a progression. His anger, the state of his heart, must have revenge. He will influence people around him with his anger. Jesus said, “You will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny” (Matthew 5:26). The adversary lives in a progression of his own hate. It turns inward on him and devours him. His inward state of murder will not be satisfied until all is destroyed, including him. Jesus is the only answer for the adversary. I am a Jesus pusher!!!
